Along with being made from mercury-free, and therefore safer, materials white fillings are much less noticeable and can be shaped and contoured to look more like your natural teeth. White fillings do take slightly more time to put into place but the end result is a filling that is practically invisible.
There is a small chance that you will experience some mild sensitivity after the procedure but it usually settles down after a few days. Most people experience no discomfort whatsoever.
